When was the last time you did something for the first time? In the midst of our routine-based lives, embarking on new experiences is a way to maintain our sense of wonder and awe at the world’s hidden beauties.
And that was exactly what the participants of the recent Bulgari private workshop event did. SJÖ Flora had the honour of facilitating a private workshop for some of the valued VIPs of Italian luxury brand Bulgari, during which the participants tried their hands at decorating their own mini preserved Christmas trees.
Hosted on the 3rd and 4th of December at three Bulgari boutiques in Singapore, the event was organised as part of their ongoing holiday season campaign, titled ‘Believe in Wonder’. We believe that the VIPs that day were indeed treated to a wonderful time as they engaged their creative brains and indulged in the joy of creating something unique and beautiful!
What went down at the Bulgari floral workshop
Joining us at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Takashimaya, and Ion Orchard, participants were greeted by the sight of adorable mini preserved Christmas trees and an assortment of decorative items, ranging from dried pinecones to LED fairy lights. All it took was a quick introduction of preserved florals and tips on decorating the Christmas tree, and the participants were off to create their little masterpieces.
We have created many preserved flower jars in Singapore, but the floral jars this time were nothing short of extraordinary. The little details shouted ‘Bulgari’ all around, including preserved florals in the brand’s colours as well as their Christmas campaign colours. The SJÖ Flora team also prepared a Bulgari signature hexagon star and ribbon for each participant to top off their tree. Perhaps what impressed the VIPs the most that day was the customised gold base for the globe jar, complete with Bulgari’s logo. No effort was spared in making every element as on-brand as possible!
When participants were satisfied with their creation, it was time to encase the mini trees into their globe jars – not just a decorative touch but also a protective one to let the preserved florals last longer. And for the final touch: packing them into beautiful gift boxes. Everyone was all smiles as they posed with their finished product, which they could bring home as a one-of-a-kind décor piece or Christmas gift for a loved one this holiday season.
A dream collaboration: SJÖ Flora x Bulgari
The SJÖ Flora team was delighted to see everyone having a good time at the private workshop, making all the effort worth it! This experience could not have been so smooth-sailing without the close discussions with the Bulgari team and understanding of what they wanted to achieve.
Although the complete mini tree workshop typically takes two hours on average to complete, we received a special request to arrange for a 1-hour workshop. Our hardworking elves stepped right into action to make some special arrangements just for them! What we did eventually was to pre-assemble the preserved Christmas trees, so participants only had to decorate the tree. This shortened the workshop time sufficiently so that everyone had ample time to decorate their trees without rushing.
Bulgari also made clear their campaign direction for this holiday season so that we knew precisely what design scheme to go for. Working closely together, we were able to conceptualise two preserved Christmas tree globes to fit their colour palettes and select the best choice of materials to suitably impress their VIPs!
